DE TURF, COASTAL ATLANTIC FUTBOL CLUB ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP WITH SOCCER MANAGEMENT COMPANY to RAMP UP MID ATLANTIC TOURNAMENT SERIES
FREDERICA, DE (September 5, 2017) – DE Turf Sports Complex and the Coastal Atlantic Futbol Club have selected Steve Lovgren and Soccer Management Company to operate a series of youth soccer tournaments at the award-winning, state-of-the-art DE TURF Sports Complex. Soccer Management Company (SMC) will handle marketing and team recruitment support and event logistics in collaboration with Coastal Atlantic FC and DE Turf staff. The series will kick off in November with the East Coast Classic which will feature some of the top soccer clubs in the country. Here is the complete list of events:
"DE Turf provides a perfect backdrop for high profile soccer events," said Steve Lovgren, the Director of Operations for Soccer Management Company. “It is a natural relationship for our organizations to work together to host the best events in the Mid-Atlantic”.
The Coastal Atlantic Futbol club, launched in August 2017, will serve as the host club for these events.

The Coastal Atlantic Futbol Club is Delaware’s newest competitive soccer club for Girls & Boys U13 - U15 - U17. At the helm of CAFC is technical director Joe Brown. Joe’s success is deeply rooted in soccer development. Credentialed with an “A” license from the US Soccer Federation, Joe coached for 15 years in the United Soccer League (USL), a professional men's soccer league, 11 of them with the Carolina Dynamo and four with the Delaware Wizards. Brown has coached over 50 professional players that played in Europe, Major League Soccer (MLS), USL, MISL and NASL. Including 30 MLS Draft picks with four players selected in the First round of the MLS Super Draft. Currently in his 7th season at Padua Academy's women's soccer program he holds Delaware State Championships in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2016. In 2016 Brown's Padua Academy team finished undefeated, winning their fifth consecutive State Championship and finishing 2nd in the NSCAA Final National Poll. To date, during Coach Brown's tenure at Padua he has already coached four All-Americans and two Gatorade players of the year. The club trains at the award winning, state-of-the-art DE TURF Sports Complex in Frederica, Delaware.
